Community Harvest Church

Shortly after his conversion in 1982, then 22 years of age, he answered the call of God to preach the Gospel.  For almost 9 years, he ministered whenever called upon; often in his home church and frequently in other churches.  He served as a youth minister for one year and his desire to feed God’s people continued to grow.

In 1987, Pastor Harney married Joyce Lynn Stewart.  God graciously blessed Duane and Joyce with three beautiful children:  Aaron, Nathanael and Naomi.

Since Pastor Harney’s pastorate at Community Harvest Church in 1992, the congregation has grown from approximately twenty-five to over seven hundred, fulfilling his burden and vision of winning lost souls for Christ.

Pastor Harney’s continuing education includes Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Preaching Degree through The Word of Truth Bible Institute and Theological Seminary, Masters Degree in Ministry and Bachelors Degree in Theology through the International Evangel Bible College and Seminary, and a Bachelors Degree in Religious Arts through the Gulf Coast Bible College, among other certifications and degrees.

Pastor Harney currently serves as the Credentials Chairman of The Word of Truth Fellowship, and as a board member of Word of Life Christian Center, Brighter Day Ministries, and Kingdom Youth Ministries.
